About The Winery Marlborough is a definitive new world wine region synonymys with sauvignon Blanc. There are three sub regions within Marlborough Wairau Valley, Awatere valley, Waihope Valley Patriarch vineyard is in the upper reaches of the Wairau Valley. We grow Sav Blanc, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, and chard there. With Less rain, and hotter days the fruit tend to ripen quicker resulting in more contrast of fruit profiles that we can then blend to style. This creates good complexity with the wines. The lower terraces of the vineyard are free draining, rocky silt which gives the characteristic Marlborough green grass with the sav blanc. The signature range of Ant Moore wines is Ants personal style and preference, more subdued and rounded in weight and complexity. Estate range is more of the classic Marlborough style.
