The 100% Syrah was aged for 33 months. LDV Winery racked this wine about every 45 days instead of fining which results in a softened tannin structure & smooth mouthfeel. This wine was aged in new American oak barrels. The Syrah picks up a touch of the smoke and spice because of the new oak. This Syrah exhibits traditional black & blue fruit like blackberry and blueberry. The wine has wonderful floral notes that give way to soft tannins that create an ultra-creamy mouthfeel.
